1. Stretch Pose
Stretch Pose

  • Sit on the floor with your legs spread straight in front of you. Move your legs 5-6 inches apart from each other.
  • Place a soft cushion in between your legs near your knee region. Place your baby on his back on the cushion to ease the pose.
  • Start massaging your baby starting from his head to toe. One can even stretch his hands and legs diagonally (whichever way you find it comfortable).
  • While massaging your child, slightly lean forwards so that it becomes easier for you to massage your baby.
  • Once you are done, release from the pose and relax.

2. Pavanmuktasana

  • Sit on the floor with your legs spread straight in front of you. Move your legs 5-6 inches apart from each other.
  • Place a soft cushion in between your legs near your knee region. Place your baby on his back on the cushion to ease the pose.
  • Lift up your baby’s legs in the upward direction. One can lift up one leg at a time.
  • Massage the legs from thighs in the downwards direction. Press it gently towards their stomach. (Do not give any kind of strain)
  • Repeat this activity for 2-3 times.
  • Relax.

3. Butterfly Pose

  • Sit on the floor with your legs spread straight out in front of you.
  • Bend your legs from the knees and join them together in such a way that sole of both the feet touch each other.
  • Keep your baby on your feet in a comfortable position.
  • Hold your baby’s hands.
  • Try to stretch your legs this way.
  • Relax.

4. Setu Bandh

  • Lie down on the floor on your back.
  • Fold your legs from your knees and place the sole of your feet on the floor.
  • Move your legs slightly forwards.
  • Place your hands on the floor besides your body with palms touching the ground.
  • Lift up your upper body, chest and the waist off the floor.
  • Keep your head on the ground.
  • Lift up your baby in your hands and place him on your stomach.
  • Remain steady for 10-15 seconds. One can even sing out rhymes and songs to entertain the baby.

5. Virbhadrasana
Virbhadrasana

  • Stand on the floor in a straight position.
  • Move your feet 4-5 inches apart from each other.
  • Turn your right leg to 90 degrees on the right side & accordingly turn your left leg in the same direction & stretch it.
  • Hold your baby in your hands.
  • Raise your hands up in the air. Stretch them. Look upwards towards your baby.
  • Keep your back straight.
  • Come back to the first position.
